Introduction

Freightliner Coronado front Crafted as Freightliner's top-of-the-line heavy-duty truck, the Coronado combines style and performance in a vehicle that will turn heads while you're turning a profit. Its long nose and chrome accents command attention on the road, while the roomy and luxurious interior makes every mile a pleasure. The Coronado is the perfect blend of form and function. Its long hood and 1,500 square inch radiator can handle the largest Class 8 engines available, including the powerful yet fuel efficient Detroit Diesel Series 60 and the Caterpillar C15. Engineered with an aluminum cab and components, the truck's lightweight design is intended to maximize payloads. With engines rated up to 625 horsepower, smooth riding suspensions and ergonomically designed cab, the Coronado boasts modern components and built-in comfort to take on the challenges of the road like no other.

Technology

Freightliner Coronado The Freightliner Coronado combines traditional design elements with the latest technical and comfort features. The Coronado is available with a spacious, 2m long raised-roof sleeper cab, a medium XT (extra high) raised roof sleeper cab or a normal cab.Despite the ostensible romanticism of the trucker lifestyle, cost-effectiveness and reliability are key criteria, particularly to owner-operators. A truck which is able to meet it is particularly the self-driving transport operator who is most interested in facts such as the tough day-to-day requirements of this customer group must therefore be uncompromising in concept. Independent truckers who want a personal heavy-duty truck are often obliged to make do with used vehicles that are no longer technically up-to-date. The Coronado provides the requisite styling but also reflects the state of the art in terms of appointments, ride comfort, handling, fuel consumption, productivity, availability and safety.  The Coronado can be supplied with different engines by Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar and Cummins, with outputs of up to 450 kW (600 hp). It is fitted as standard with a 370 kW (500 hp) DDC Series 60 engine.
