The Ram 1500 is the full-size Dodge half-ton pickup. The boldly-styled Ram replaced the previous Dodge pickup in 1994 and established the Ram 1500 as a top-selling new vehicle. The Quad Cab was added for the 1998 model year and the Ram was redesigned for 2002.

he new 2007 & 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup Truck 1500 has an all new 5.7-liter HEMI® Magnum V8 with 100 more horsepower and better fuel efficiency than its predecessor (14 in the city and 18 on the highway for 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x2 Pickups). This year and next there will be more engine and transmission choices and three available transmissions, a five speed manual, four speed automatic and a new five speed automatic. Also available for the 1500 Dodge Ram Pickup is a 4.7 liter V8 or a 3.7 ltr V6. The new 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup combines a 4x4 independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering (optional electric transfer case). And this year choose from a long or short wheelbase on all 1500 Dodge Ram Trucks. The short wheelbase is a 6'3" box, the long wheelbase is an 8 foot box. New Dodge Ram Pickup 1500's received the highest rating for front crash performance from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The standard 3.7-liter V-6 produces 215 horsepower. Rams can be equipped with an available 235-hp, 4.7-liter Magnum V-8 that can run on regular unleaded fuel, E85 or a combination of the two. A 345-hp, 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 is also available. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a four-speed automatic is optional. With the 4.7- or 5.7-liter engine, the automatic is a five-speed unit. Rear- and four-wheel-drive models are available.
